When I say, “load up Molly” my border collie jumps in the backseat of my car. Load up Molly, we’re going places. I like that. Sometimes when I am trying to get myself motivated, to face the intimidating, I think of how quickly Molly jumps to go. I want to jump at my future in excitement that way, to trust the Lord with my destination the way Molly trusts me.
I hope to always grow, to try new things, to challenge myself. When I was kid at my parents house on the lake, my brothers would swim over to the tallest two story dock in our slough. They would climb to the top and jump to the water below. Standing there at the top the first few times, I was scared. From up there, the water seemed so far below. I was scared standing there with the wind blowing agains my wet skin. Scared to jump. But then I would think to myself, once I jump, there’s no turning back. Just jump.
Now, In other aspects of life, when challenged, I think, just jump. No turning back. Just like jumping from a high place. Jump and trust God. Always be willing to load up and go. This blog is about what I find along the way. I love DIY, Baking, Literature, Food, Movies, Friends, Photography, and God: Anything that strikes my fancy you will find here.
Load Up Molly, we’re going places.
